ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: WHISPERS OF LIGHT: MYSTERIOUS MANTEO
My wife and I had a wonderful time visiting the Outer Banks in North Carolina for our friends wedding. On our journey back home we made a special stop at the Manteo Lighthouse. This unique lighthouse caught our attention because it was shorter than most and situated in the middle of the sound. Despite the stormy dark and drizzly weather we decided to explore the area. The Manteo Lighthouse stood proudly amidst the gloomy skies its beacon still shining brightly despite the inclement conditions. As we walked around the lighthouse we couldnt help but marvel at its distinctive charm. Surrounded by the vast expanse of the sound it felt like a beacon of hope in the midst of the storm. We took in the sights and sounds feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience such a special place. Although our visit was brief it left a lasting impression on us. The Manteo Lighthouse may not have been your typical lighthouse but it was undoubtedly a memorable stop on our journey home.
